At Buun Studio, I explore my relationship with the cultural concept of Buun (บุญ) through scenes, objects, and living beings. Buun can refer to good karma or fortune. 

 

Even though fortune or luck implies happenstance, Buun is, in fact, both an action and a reserve of good deeds. While one can cultivate good deeds in this life, they can also be carried over from past lives—an incentive to do good always. In my work, I represent how Buun naturally exists. It gathers in small pockets, waiting to be discovered and captured. Buun is a reminder of the connectedness between humans and nature and of the consequences of our actions.
